Today, Realindex Investments, an active quantitative equities manager within the First Sentier Investors Group, will be known as RQI Investors.
Coinciding with the investment manager’s 15-year anniversary, this name change is the first undertaken since RQI Investors was founded in 2008 and will be accompanied by a new logo and visual identity.
Andrew Francis, Chief Executive of RQI Investors, said: “The new name embodies our evolution and growth. It’s a nod to our history as Realindex and represents who we are today as a well-established active quantitative equities house. We aim to deliver cutting-edge insights to our clients in terms of our research as we pursue the delivery of strong performance.
“Since inception, we have expanded our investment strategies, which includes our long-established Value and more recently our Diversified Alpha1 strategies. These can complement or replace traditional equities strategies while also meeting investor interest in accessing an active approach for reasonable fees.” Mr Francis added.
Since its inception, RQI Investors has grown its assets under management to approximately A$28.7 billion2 and has extended its team to 17 members.
Mr Francis went on to say: “Over the last 15 years, our team and processes have been tested by a number of different market events and environments. We have learned from these and have evolved our processes, while our conviction has remained unwavering. We believe this conviction, coupled with our clients’ patience, has been rewarded with many of our Value strategies outperforming their respective benchmarks.”
