Kenneth Bowling is the Head of Portfolio Management. He joined in October 2013. Based in our London office, Ken is responsible for Portfolio Management design and construction. Ken started his investment and management career in 1993, and has gained industry experience with a number of firms, including DB Advisors, the institutional asset management arm of Deutsche Asset Management and Invesco, Inc. Prior to joining, Ken was Head of Fixed Income investments, Americas at Deutsche Asset Management (DB Advisors), which he joined in 2007. In this role, Ken was responsible for investment product design, oversight and management for clients in the Americas, as well as managing the team of portfolio managers and sector specialist operating within the US institutional group. Previously when at Invesco, Ken’s role was Director of US Fixed Income and he headed the team that managed all the domestic fixed income portfolios for the US clients with AUM over US$60 billion. Ken earned a Bachelor of Engineering Science and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Louisville and is a CFA charterholder.
Austin is responsible for collaborating on the development of the fixed income investment process and the design and development of the ION platform used to share, monitor, measure, and implement investment decisions. Austin has over 15 years of experience developing commercially deployed software with over 10 years of experience architecting and developing solutions for fixed income investment managers. Prior to joining the company, he held the role of Head of Institutional Fixed Income Technology at Deutsche Bank’s DB Advisors. Prior to joining DB advisors, Austin had roles at both Fortis Investment Management and INVESCO developing custom technology platforms.Austin graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Engineering Science and Master of Engineering in Engineering Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Louisville. He also completed an MBA in Finance and International Management from Carnegie Mellon University and is a CFA charter holder.
Mike is Co-Lead of Credit Research focused on oversight of the credit research function and the further harmonisation of methods across both the rating and relative value elements of credit analysis worldwide. He joined the company in May 2014 and retains active coverage responsibilities, primarily in the investment grade Financials, Healthcare, and Consumer sectors. Prior to joining the company, Mike worked at Invesco, most recently as a Senior Credit Analyst, Investment Grade Credit. Mike served on active duty in the United States Army’s 1st Cavalry Division as a Combat Engineer Officer. He is a 1997 graduate of The United States Military Academy in West Point, NY and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Bellarmine University.
As Credit Analyst, Andrew is responsible for credit research focusing on the US Transport, Mining Services, Aerospace & Defense and Brewers sectors. Adrian has over 8 years’ experience. Prior to this, Andrew worked in the corporate credit research team at Invesco Fixed Income. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Louisville.
Anthony O’Brien, based in our London office, is a Developed Markets Rates and Currency Strategist in the Emerging Markets Debt team. Prior to joining in December 2016, Anthony held various roles at Morgan Stanley where his areas of responsibility included hedge fund sales, derivative strategies, and interest rate options market-making, and latterly he was Co-Head of European Interest Rate Strategy. Prior to this he was a UK and Derivatives Interest Rate Strategist at Barclays Capital. At the time of joining the team, Anthony had 19 years of industry experience. Antony holds an BSc (Hons) in Economics from Bristol University.
As Credit Analyst, Rhys is responsible for credit analysis, focusing on European Industrials. Rhys has over 10 years’ experience. Prior to this, Rhys worked as a credit analyst at ECM. Rhys hold a degree in Economics from Bath University and is a CFA charterholder.
