Kenneth Bowling is responsible for US portfolio management and their associated product design. Over 20 years' experience. Prior to joining FSI, Ken held various roles at PRIMCO Capital Management, including Director of US Fixed Income. Ken also held the role of Head of Fixed Income Investment, Americas at DB Advisors where he was responsible for investment product design, oversight and management for clients in the Americas as well as managing the team of portfolio managers and sector specialist operating within the US institutional group. Ken earned a Bachelor of Engineering Science and a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Louisville and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
John is responsible for all aspects of mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities and commercial mortgage-backed securities investments including positioning, credit analysis, trading, and surveillance. He also contributes to rates market decisions and portfolio management. More than 23 years’ investment experience. Prior to joining FSI, John served in a similar capacity at DB Advisors, the institutional asset management arm of Deutsche Asset Management, and Invesco. John graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1990 from the University of Maryland. He completed his MBA in 1993 from the College of William & Mary, Virginia.
Steve’s responsibilities include developing and implementing credit-related investment views and strategies, managing portfolios and supporting the global investment process. More than 20 years’ of investment management experience. Prior to joining FSI, he held roles with firms including Fifth Third Asset Management, Deutsche Investment Management Americas, INVESCO Worldwide Fixed Income and Providian Capital Management. Steve graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Mike is Co-Lead of Credit Research focused on oversight of the credit research function and the further harmonisation of methods across both the rating and relative value elements of credit analysis worldwide. He joined CFSGAM in May 2014 and retains active coverage responsibilities, primarily in the investment grade Financials, Healthcare, and Consumer sectors. Prior to joining CFSGAM, Mike worked at Invesco, most recently as a Senior Credit Analyst, Investment Grade Credit. Mike served on active duty in the United States Army’s 1st Cavalry Division as a Combat Engineer Officer. He is a 1997 graduate of The United States Military Academy in West Point, NY and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Bellarmine University.
As Credit Analyst, Andrew is responsible for credit research focusing on the US Transport, Mining Services, Aerospace & Defense and Brewers sectors. Adrian has over 8 years’ experience. Prior to this, Andrew worked in the corporate credit research team at Invesco Fixed Income. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Louisville.
Anthony O’Brien is a European Rates and Currency Strategist in the Global Unconstrained Fixed Income team at First State Investments (‘FSI’). In his role Anthony focuses on European rates and currency strategies. More than 23 years' industry experience. Prior to joining FSI in December 2016, Anthony held various roles at Morgan Stanley where his areas of responsibility included hedge fund sales, derivative strategies, and interest rate options market-making, and latterly he was Co-Head of European Interest Rate Strategy. Prior to this he was a UK and Derivatives Interest Rate Strategist at Barclays Capital. Antony holds an BSc (Hons) in Economics from Bristol University.
As Credit Analyst, Rhys is responsible for credit analysis, focusing on European Industrials. Rhys has over 10 years’ experience. Prior to this, Rhys worked as a credit analyst at ECM. Rhys hold a degree in Economics from Bath University and is a CFA charterholder.
